The coming day of the city (we will talk about Moscow) will be deprived of its main action - a solemn show on Tverskaya. So the mayor decided.
It was there, opposite the city hall, as a rule, that the most expensive stars danced, and the country's leaders were sitting on VIP tribunes. It is clear that this show was worth a lot. And now they will be redirected to the needs of the mayor less glamorous and pathos. Namely: social. Many Muscovites suffered from the heat and smog, who covered the city in the first half of August. You can’t return the dead, but the money after such cataclysms is not superfluous.
At the same time, the solemn mayor of reception was also canceled - the event is also not cheap, but due to its cupidity, this abolition remained almost unnoticed. And they talk about Tverskaya.
They say different things, but at the same time more or less the same. For example, the reason is a protest, fashionable in recent months, under the title “Day of Anger”, when dissatisfied with the current city authorities gather on Tverskaya Square and show Yuri Mikhailovich a black paper square - a terrible “black label”. Suddenly someone will take advantage of the case and repeat this flash mob on the City Day? Will he put it on a poop and ruin the holiday?
This, however, is not believed. Yuri Mikhailovich is still not a pepinier girl, but a experienced, real politician, not to intimidate such black pieces of paper.
They also assure that the real reason is the frequent conversations about the upcoming resignation of Luzhkov and Gromov. Say, they have never talked about this resignation so much and so convincingly. The argument, of course, would be accepted if not for one fact. During the stay of Mr. Luzhkov in power, they spoke many times about his approaching resignation. And each time it is much more convincing than in previous times. And nothing.
True, this version is intensified by the fact that not the entire holiday was canceled, but only those events that are traditionally visited by state leaders. Suddenly they won’t come - then an embarrassment will come out. But once again: the mayor of Moscow is still not a shy young young lady and can hold a blow.
The reason is seen a little different. Recall the history of the issue. In mid -June, severe heat is installed in Moscow. All July, this heat does not recede, from time to time accompanied by smoke from forest fires and burning peat bogs.
On August 2, Yuri Mikhailovich goes on vacation. On August 4, Moscow was covered by an unprecedented man. The roads are not visible on the roads. And so on.
On August 5, he was able to retreat, and the next day it sinks to the city with renewed vigor. At a temperature of forty. Muscovites organize landing in the Moscow region - take part in fire extinguishing, collect help to the victims. There is a feeling of an apocalypse. And against this background-the statement of the mayor’s press secretary that nothing special in the city is happening and Yuri Mikhailovich is not going to interrupt his vacation.
The performance of the spokesman is like an exploding bomb. There is no need to talk about the love of Muscovites for his mayor after him. They begin to write a lot about Luzhkov - both in blogs and in the periodical. The mildest statements come down to the fact that purely humanly Yuri Mikhailovich can be understood, he is a person aged, afraid for his health, only the word “mayor” is clearly superfluous here. We will still leave the most stringent out of the framework of this text.
And this is not the voice of the opposition, this is the general opinion of Muscovites, who failed to make climatic emigration in the Kaliningrad region in time (only there and behind the polar circle the weather conditions were compatible with normal life).
It was this circumstance that forced Yuri Luzhkov to interrupt his vacation on August 8, to come to Moscow, to wind up where it was necessary, the tails (as a result of which the activities of many municipal services improved significantly), to make an absolutely logical decision to reduce festive celebrations (in 2004, due to the tragedy in Beslan, the holiday was completely canceled, but now it would still be disproportionate) and, having waited for a sensitive chill, again, again Leave for treatment and rest.
The mayor of the city, logically, should always be afraid to lose his position. Any more or less motivated manifestation of protest should cause a response. This law does not work for us. The fate of the mayor does not depend on the defenders of the village "Rechnik" and the cottage of Muromtsev. Is it good, is it bad - not about that, the fact remains.
It depends on other elements - natural. The abnormal heat was able to take on the functions of public institutions. And it remains only to be glad that the mayor answered quite adequately to these challenges.
