The current Russian football champion Rubin Kazan has signed a four-year contract with Brazilian midfielder Carlos Eduardo. According to some reports, the transfer amount paid to the German Hoffenheim amounted to 20 million euros. Carlos Eduardo will become the tenth Brazilian to join Rubin in the team's history.
The Kazan newcomer turned 23 in July. His first professional club was Gremio. In August 2007, the South American moved to Hoffenheim, playing as an attacking midfielder, making 80 appearances for the club and scoring 19 goals. The European Volleyball Confederation (ECV) has published a new ranking of national federations, which determines the representation of countries in continental cup tournaments in 2011/12. Thus, our country has two guaranteed places in the Champions League, two in the CEV Cup and one in the Challenge Cup.
