“Politicians Through the Eyes of the Media,” a joint project of “Vremya Novostei” and the “Medialogia” company, are ratings of political figures who are most actively discussed in the federal press and on central TV channels.“Politicians through the Eyes of the Media” are published weekly: over the course of a month, you can sequentially familiarize yourself with the ratings of governors of the Russian Federation, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, ministers of the Russian Federation and heads of foreign states and governments. The ratings are also published on the publication’s website: www.vremya.ru.
The ratings reflect both the total number of publications per month and the level of information favorability in relation to each political person. The Information Favorability Index (IFI) is calculated based on the nature of references to a person (positive, negative, neutral), the significance of the message and the influence of the media.

The head of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation signed an appeal to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yuri Chaika, drawing attention to the actions of the administration of the Governor of the Lipetsk Region Oleg Korolev. The media reported that the Communist leader was outraged by the intrigues of the local authorities, who, in the opinion of the party leadership, were trying to split the ranks of the opposition.
The head of the LDPR party , Vladimir Zhirinovsky, took second place in the ranking in terms of quantitative indicators and fourth in the ranking in terms of IIB. At the beginning of August, information appeared in the media that Vladimir Zhirinovsky would head the lists of five regions in the elections to local legislative assemblies, which on October 10 will be held in the Belgorod, Kostroma, Magadan, Chelyabinsk regions, as well as in Tuva.
