Dmitry Pakhomov, CEO of the Energomash Scientific and Production Association, may soon leave his post, a source in the rocket and space industry told Interfax .
"Dmitry Pakhomov wrote a statement of care of his own free will. Now it is under consideration in Roscosmos," the agency’s interlocutor said.
According to him, the statement was written "under pressure", since Pakhomov’s departure from the post of General Director of Energomash was caused by disagreement with plans to include the enterprise in the integrated structure led by Energia missile and space corporation, the agency’s interlocutor said.
Pakhomov himself told the agency only that "Energomash" is "an organization that is more than 80 years old, and its foundation is not able to shake any integration processes. And since the need for replacement arises, it means that there is something to capture."
Earlier in the media, information appeared that Energomash is planned to be transferred to the holding under the leadership of the RSC "Energia". It was also reported that the production of RD-191 engines for a promising Angara launch vehicle can be transferred to the Space Center named after Khrunicheva.
