
In the village of Balabino, Zaporizhzhya region of Ukraine, unknown hooligans mutilated a monument to Vladimir Lenin. The attackers who spoiled the only monument in the village are looking for a police.
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Zaporizhzhya region reports that the incident occurred on Thursday evening. The sculpture of the leader of the world proletariat, located on Uritsky Street, lost her head, reports Interfax .
A criminal case has been opened under part 1 of article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism). In the case of the capture of the hooligans, they will find restriction of freedom for up to three years.
Local communists have already stated that they intend to restore the monument.
This is not the first incident associated with the monuments of Lenin in Ukraine. So, on the birthday of the leader on April 22 on Mikhailovskaya Square in Kyiv, the Ukrainian People’s Party held a "trial of communism." Nationalists erected a sculpture of Lenin, which repents, kneeling in front of the monument to the victims of the Holodomor.
And on the night of April 28, in the village of Chernobai, Cherkasy district of Ukraine, unknown vandals doused the monument to Lenin with yellow paint on the central square. In addition, at the pedestal, attackers from all sides painted fascist symbols, five -pointed stars, and under the name of Lenin wrote the word "kat".
Earlier, in February on Volyn, unknown people beheaded a monument to Lenin.
On May 28, 2010, the Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kyiv accepted the case of five activists of the right nationalist organizations that are accused of damage to the monument to Lenin on Bessarabskaya Square. The first hearing is scheduled for June 17.
On June 30, 2009, Nikolai Kokhanivsky, Andrei Tarasenko, Alexander Zorodorozhny, Ivan Sribny and Bogdan Frants repulsed his nose and brush of his left hand at the monument to the Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin on Bessarabskaya Square in Kyiv. At the end of March last year, in black paint, a rock portrait of Lenin at the Stavropol Territory was painted with black paint. A fascist cross was drawn on Lenin’s forehead, and anti -Semitic inscriptions were applied next to the image. In the Oryol region in February of the same year, the monument to Lenin was shot from a gun.
