In French Nice, the second case of fever Dengu was revealed for a week

In the French city resort, Nice revealed the second case of Denge’s fever in a week, ITAR-TASS reports with reference to French television. The first dangerous tropical virus was registered five days ago in the same quarter of the city.

In both cases, we are talking about the autochthonous form of the disease - that is, the affected by him were infected in the territory of continental France. Only those persons who picked up the virus in its overseas possessions were identified early and then moved to the territory of the metropolis.

Independent medical experts warned that in the southeast of the country there was a dangerous situation, since there was multiplied by the goods and cargoes from the tropical countries of the Aedes clan, which is the only carrier of the disease. In this case, the appearance in the region has so far that absent virus can lead to a rapid spread of a dangerous disease, experts emphasize.

Currently, another 15 people in Nice are quarantined with suspicion of Denge's fever. In the quarter and on the adjacent squares of the city, chemical treatment is carried out in order to destroy mosquitoes and their larvae.

The disease proceeds with high temperature and severe pain in the joints, and in acute form - with meningitis. The hemorrhagic form is deadly.

The unusually large -scale Denge epidemic covered the French possessions to Martinik and Guadeluup this year. About a hundred thousand people were infected there, 18 of them died. Since 2005, the intensity of the spread of the disease in this region has increased for unknown reasons.

Denge does not exist specific means of treating fever. Currently, France urgently develops a vaccine that will be ready for use only in 2015.
