The British AirWays (BA) British airline made an emergency landing on Saturday morning soon after departure from the London HEATHROW airport, a representative of VA told reporters.
According to her, the Boeing 747 liner VA117 London - New York was forced to return to the airport almost immediately after takeoff at 9:20 in the morning (12:20 MSK). Such a decision was made when the crew discovered that one of the aircraft door was not hermetically closed.
In total, the plane stayed in the air for 11 minutes, RIA Novosti reports.
“It took us time to find another plane, but we tried to do it as quickly as possible,” said the representative of the VA. According to preliminary data, the cause of the alarm was not the door, but a faulty emergency sensor.
