| The jury of the Stanislavsky Prize announced the laureates for the fifteenth time. This time, the prize in the nomination “For Contribution to the Development of the Russian Theater” went to two people at once - choreographer and teacher Vladimir Vasiliev and director Mark Zakharov. Moreover, the artistic director of Lenkom is also the president of the Stanislavsky Foundation, so, as Oleg Tabakov, also a member of the jury, said, for a time Mark Zakharov had to be removed from the jury of the award. As the Governor said in “The Inspector General” about the hunting arapnik that was hanging in the judge’s presence: “I know you love hunting, but it’s better to accept it for a while, and then, when the inspector passes by, perhaps you can hang it again.” However, jokes aside, Mark Anatolyevich has every reason to receive an honorary prize. Awards in the category “Mastery of an Actor” will be presented to Sergei Makovetsky for the role of Voinitsky in the play “Uncle Vanya” (the same performance by Rimas Tuminas was named the best in the Chekhov anniversary season) and Olga Yakovleva, actress of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater for a series of roles in Russian classics. In the “Art of Director” category, the prize was awarded to experimenter from St. Petersburg Andrei Moguchy.
