This is the second case of the death of a law enforcement officer of the Tula region over the past Thursday. On the night of October 7, a 26-year-old senior police sergeant died in the building of the district internal affairs department of the Uzlovsky district. According to the Information of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region, the policeman fired a shot from a service weapon in the head, as a result of which he died at the scene.
Meanwhile, a law enforcement source told the agency that several versions of what happened, including an accident, are being considered. “Most likely, the shot occurred at the moment when there were several police officers in the room, and one of them discharged the gun, which is categorically prohibited,” the agency’s interlocutor noted.
