Investigators have established that the driver of the Mercedes bus was to blame for a major accident in Kazakhstan, RIA Novosti reports citing the words of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, Vladimir Bozhko. The driver started to overtake a KamAZ truck and could not manage, so an accident occurred - two buses and two trucks collided.
As a result of the collision, 11 people died - the driver of one of the buses (not specified) and 10 passengers of the Mercedes bus. All the dead are Uzbeks.
Recall that the incident occurred on Wednesday evening on the highway "Alma-Ata - Yekaterinburg". Four vehicles collided: a Setra intercity bus with 24 passengers, a Mercedes with 17 passengers, and two KamAZ trucks.
"Mercedes" was traveling from Uzbekistan to Russia. Investigators opened a criminal case into the accident.
