The prosecution considers Khodorkovsky's guilt proven

The prosecutor on Thursday during the debate of the parties said that the guilt of the former head of Yukos, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, and the former head of Menatep, Platon Lebedev, who are accused in the second criminal case of stealing 350 million tons of oil, have been proven. This is confirmed by the evidence presented by the prosecutor. The debate is the final stage of the trial, which lasted more than a year and a half.

On behalf of the prosecution, five prosecutors are involved in the process. The interests of the defendants during the process were represented by about 10 lawyers.

The victims in the criminal case were the companies Rosneft, Samaraneftegaz and Tomskneft, the Federal Agency for State Property Management, as well as a number of former shareholders of subsidiaries. At the investigation stage, they filed claims for a total of 170 billion rubles.

It should be reminded that earlier in his interview to the Kommersant newspaper, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin stated that he did not know about the second criminal case against Khodorkovsky.
