The Ministry of Emergencies warns of a dangerous strengthening of wind in Moscow

The capital’s department of the Ministry of Emergencies warns Muscovites and car owners about the danger of strong winds on the streets of the city.

"The Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies in Moscow warns about adverse weather conditions due to wind strengthening up to 15 meters per second and above, in places the wind gusts reach 17 meters per second," the head of the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies in Moscow Yevgeny Bobylev told Interfax on Saturday morning.

He noted that in connection with a strong wind in the capital, cliffs of power lines, the fall of advertising structures and trees are possible, including parked vehicles, as well as other troubles.

"We ask Muscovites to be attentive and careful on the streets of the city. If someone has become an eyewitness to an emergency, it is necessary to call the emergency services of the city," Bobylev said.
