The conservative manifesto of Nikita Mikhalkov made a grandiose effect on the politicized community and it is already absolutely clear that he became one of the main events of the already violent political autumn. Mikhalkov once again proved that he was the great master of his acting-directorial skill and with his manifesto, he shot exactly at the right point at the right time. I calculated the mood with amazing accuracy until the week and day.
Right now, the previous structure of ideological confrontation in society has finally broken, and every politicized citizen has faced the need for a new self -determination. Former “guardians” were finally disappointed in the Kremlin and realized themselves in the opposition. But the former “opposition” is forced to determine who they are with - Limonov and his one and a half thousand, or with Alekseeva and her noble eight hundred. The loyalty and disloyalty of the authorities no longer work as an incentive motive for combining various political forces. The confrontation between political ideologies is returned.
And the ultra-liberal policy of the Kremlin, which is only gaining momentum is accompanied by the corresponding propaganda, jagged with heart liberal speech, which will be cockroach on all possible channels of agitation. Meanwhile, neither a society that had recently lived according to a completely different ideological principles, nor experts, who are not ready, like many colleagues, once recently, once repaning into new political colors. The potential of anti -liberalism is far from exhausted and a conservative response to a new liberal policy simply could not help but appear. These words would be spoken one way or another, and Mikhalkov managed to tell them first.
Analysts argue that the Mikhalkov “Manifesto” is primarily Anti -Medvedevsky. But this is not entirely true. “Anti-Medvedev’s manifestos” we have a pond-prudy, in fact, any criticism of the Kremlin’s actions from either side can be called one. And Mikhalkov’s manifesto, first of all, is conservative and Anti -Medvedevsky exactly, as the President pursues a policy that contradicts conservative ideology.
Mikhalkov overcame the “Crisis of Protection”, which consisted in the impossibility of arguing with new veinas from the perspective of 2007. Actually, the old guards hung at the feet of new conservatism, preventing a full -fledged controversy with the Kremlin and arguing on the issues of the same “modernization”.
“Modernization” is, as you know, the term of Max Weber and it was used in order to designate the ideological component of liberal transformations in the traditional socio-economic way of Europe. “Modernization” initially and directly opposes the values of conservatism. It is from here that the legs of the anti-modernization pathos Mikhalkov grow. And no matter how many liberal experts tried to make fun of the manifesto, Mikhalkov, leaning on a conservative Russian tradition, took an unmistakable position.
Mikhalkov simply expressed what was already hung in the air, but this allowed him to become a shooter of the discussion, which will inevitably lead to the emergence of a "conservative front." Of course, such an aggravation is extremely unprofitable for many, since it hits both “tandem” and the interests of those functionaries in “United Russia” who prefer not to notice new trends and live in the old fashioned way, remaining a “conservative party of liberal power”. However, the word was said and from this moment officially there is a conservative opposition to the Kremlin. Those politicians who want to maintain an indistinguishable half position risk losing their place of public opinion leaders at least.
These trends destroy the plans of the ideologists of the liberal revenge that by 2012 the process of “new reforms” will become irreversible, the society will tightly rinse the brains of modernization demagogy and again intimidate the “red-Korchine” threat leading the country “into the dark past”. Meanwhile, the elected campaign starts this fall and regardless of which candidates will be represented by society in the future, the confrontation between liberals and conservatives will be an ideological intrigue of future presidential elections. In fact, Mikhalkov said that people of conservative views have long been expecting from Vladimir Putin and that he puts the Prime Minister of Russia in a dual position. If Putin, one way or another, will not support the conservative response to the Kremlin’s policy, he will be forced to demonstrate that he fully supports Dmitry Medvedev’s liberal policy. Thus, he will fall into the fairway of the process organized by the president, who receives a noticeable advantage in a possible confrontation. The forces are conservative in the very near future will be forced to choose a leader for themselves, so you can’t pull with the decision either.
Nikita Mikhalkov is, of course, one of those figures that create a resonance in society with any of its appearance, but this time the scale of the event significantly exceeds in its significance any specific figure, even Mikhalkov himself. Already now it can be stated that as an event “Manifesto” will serve as a point with which the consolidation of conservative forces in society and elites will begin. He will become the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Russian conservatism.
