I am now in the police department building, there is a very conflictual situation here. At 18.20 local time we signed the arrest report, after which we could leave the duty station. But now it's night. The head of the department, Alexey Konovalenko, came here and said that big troubles awaited us. I'm afraid to go outside now. I fear for Nadya’s life and for mine. I have a small child waiting for me at home. They refuse to provide transport and did not give us copies of all the documents that we asked and demanded from them. Now we are making a decision that first we will receive all the documents and only then will we leave here. At the moment we are no longer being detained, but they were holding us from 13.35 to 18.20. They drew up all kinds of protocols.

At the moment I am relatively calm about the fate of the child, but he refuses to eat without me: he saw the moment of the arrest, for him it was a lot of stress. I should be with him, but I have to stay here. I told them: “Where you took it from, put it there.” For some reason, they left for detention, but were not able to drive them back through the city at night. We demand to be taken back to the stadium. Now it’s already 19.10 our Chita time. Now they are throwing me out of the duty room.

We were given the required documents and we set off. All is well, we were met by friends. When we signed the protocols, Nadya Nizovkina immediately told me that they would not give us copies. “No,” they say, “we will give it to you.” They left, and we waited almost another hour until they made photocopies for us. And not everything was given out at first: only the first sheets, but they weren’t given out with signatures. This, of course, is a kind of mockery. Therefore, we refused to leave the police department until they gave us the required documents.

They accuse us of unauthorized picketing. It is not written whether it is group or individual. And we had single pickets that did not require permission. As a journalist for the local newspaper “Despite Everything,” I spoke out in support of the girls who are being tried under Article 282. They took Nadezhda, they didn’t want to take me, but I just took the initiative and ended up with her in the police department. Because there was no other way. If she had been detained alone... After all, all her phones were immediately turned off.

Buryatia did not want their political conflict to spread to other regions. And I actually transported him to my region - I invited Nadezhda here and said that as a deputy of the district duma, I take these girls, these girls, under the protection. The state has no right to shut our mouths. We are not yet in Stalinist times; the Constitution allows us to do so.
