Russian march - a stillborn child

From the editorial office. On November 4, the country once again celebrates the Day of National Unity. As sociological surveys show, most Russians still do not understand what such is celebrated on this day. Many are still confused in his name. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the holiday, which was supposed to translate the values ​​of patriotism in Russian society, was expropriate for domestic nationalists. About the reasons for such an inattentive attitude of Russians towards the Day of National Unity, the activity of nationalists on this day and the weakness of liberals on the day of November 4, journalist Leonid Radzikhovsky told the Russian magazine.

The Russian government in the case of the destruction of the old symbols has advanced quite far. The Day of the October Revolution, November 7, was forcibly erased from the calendar. Instead, the Day of National Unity was invented. However, Russian society has not yet accepted this holiday. The reason for this is that the holiday of November 4 is exhausted. No one in our country still understands what we are talking about. Officially, the Day of National Unity is devoted to the rid of Moscow from the Poles. But the Poles, as it were, did not remain, but the tradition of riding Moscow from foreigners remained. Muscovites understand that it would be nice to drive someone out of the city, but they understand that they would have to expel too many, including, possibly, and themselves. As a result, by November 4, a rather frivolous attitude.

It is clear that the authorities would like to establish a certain historical continuity between the collection of the country in 1612 and the current strengthening of the state. But it is not possible to establish this historical connection. Although the film “1612” was shot by the director of Khotinenko (besides him, no one, from my point of view, especially watched). But no one succeeded in combining a thread torn 400 years ago. Even if, in the propaganda of the Day of National Unity, ten times more money were swelled than in the film Kotitenko, if the brains of the population were “washed” from morning to night, still 400 years - this is a lot. It is difficult for people to explain that they should deeply experience the tradition, which, as it were, began 400 years ago, and for some reason was interrupted for some reason.

However, some representatives of Russian society perceived on November 4 as a very serious holiday. These are those to whom the tradition of leaking from Moscow somehow lay on the soul. For example, DPNI and various ultranationalist organizations. And this was easily predictable. In the celebration of the Day of Delivering of Moscow from foreigners, the population sees only the call to knock out some foreigners from the capital again, the benefit of foreigners is always enough in it. So, by definition, the Day of National Unity should have caused a lively response only among nationalists. Which happened. As for the liberals, the liberals, firstly, can never agree on anything by definition, respectively, they do not know anything about how to relate. The Kremlin administration proposed the holiday - it means that the liberals are “against”. The holiday is directed against November 7th - it means that the liberals are “for”. The celebration of nationalists means liberals “against”. But this is a holiday, as it were, civil society, Minin and Pozharsky, which means that liberals should be “for”. Therefore, the liberals remained to be in their favorite pose - to sit, pick in our teeth and think: so we are “for” or we are “against”. So they still think.

Nationalists traditionally conduct Russian march on November 4. For example, I would not want to accidentally be in his way. In general, I relate to any pogrom statements as their object can relate, and not their subject. It is clear that during the pogrom I can identify myself only with those whom they are scurrying, and not with those who smash it. The corresponding attitude to the Russian march. Although, of course, it will not reach the pogroms. And every year such a vegetarian event, shout “Russians go!”, “Glory of Russia!”, “Russia for Russians” and so on, and at the same time, no one can even break his nose-this is some kind of strange occupation. This is about how to train all the time and never win. On the “Russian march”, nationalists take their souls, but, in my opinion, even by them this event is perceived as a stillborn child.
