The ex-head of the Grodno Internal Affairs Directorate of Major General of the police, Gennady Dotko, who had been hiding from law enforcement agencies, came to the prosecutor's office.

"The former head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee at the wanted list of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee, who was on the wanted list, came to the prosecutor's office," Interfax was told on Sunday in the prosecutor's office of the Grodno region.

"He recognized the facts of abuse and stated that he was ready to compensate for the damage. A measure of restraint in the form of detention, chosen at the beginning of the investigation against him, was replaced by a recognizance not to leave. The general was hiding in Russia all this time," the regional prosecutor's office said.

Earlier it was reported that it was at all charged with power or official powers. In the case file, the fact of the illegal construction of the cottage appears.

In the fall of 2009, the presidential decree was relieved of the post of head of the Internal Affairs Directorate and dismissed from the internal affairs bodies. In February 2010, a criminal case was opened against him, after which he disappeared.
