Media: Sobyanin's plan to combat traffic jams will turn into a deficit of goods and rising prices

Yesterday, a plan of mayor Sergei Sobyanin to combat traffic jams was presented on the Moscow government website. Customs clearance is proposed to be removed outside the large concrete ring, and the Moscow region is closed from trucks from 7.00 to 22.00 on business days and for the whole weekend. It is also proposed to withdraw from Moscow and transfer to the night mode the work of all warehouses.

However, experts interviewed by Vedomosti notes that this will turn into a shortage of goods and rising prices, but will not give the proper effect.

The trucker trade union has already sent a letter to Sobyanin in which he warns that the ban on the entry of trucks can leave Moscow and Moscow Region with empty regiments in stores. According to them, supermarkets have tough delivery schedules, they do not need goods in advance or every other day, and there are no parking conditions on a large concrete, and this will provoke a transport collapse.

According to experts, the restrictions on the entry of trucks and the transfer of warehouses to the night operating mode will affect the cost of distributors, which will also affect the final cost of the goods.

Experts believe that it is impossible to provide products at night, because a significant part of the outlets is located in residential buildings where night unloading is prohibited.
