Chechnya needs a single spiritual education program, Ramzan Kadyrov is convinced

The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov proposed to develop and implement a single training program in the spiritual educational institutions of the republic, as well as to check the work of teachers of these institutions.

“We have already encountered in our history with moments when insufficiently educated people interpreted Islam, distorting the essence and meaning of the foregoing in the Qur'an. This is not permissible. To obtain a full spiritual education, students and students of the madrasah need a unified training program, it must be developed,” Kadyrov said at an extended meeting with the clergy, Interfax reports.

In his opinion, a single educational program will help maintain unity in views and opinions on religion.

Earlier, the head of Chechnya called the Internet one of the sources of the spread of Wahhabism and the recruitment of youth into the ranks of illegal armed groups and spoke out for the need to protect users of the global network from the promotion of the ideology of this radical current. He emphasized that on the so -called "Islamic" sites the Qur'an is trying to interpret people who do not have an appropriate education, which means that distorting the essence and true meaning of the holy book of Muslims.

Kadyrov also noted that in Islamic educational institutions, over 1.5 thousand young people are studying, who subsequently teach religion the younger generation.

“Our future depends on what knowledge they will receive. Thus, we will know what our children are teaching,” Kadyrov added.

He also proposed to check the work of teachers of spiritual institutions on the subject of what they teach students, and also called on the clergy to strengthen educational work among young people and actively connect local imams and preachers.

"We must tell you more about the youth about the saints we honor, thanks to which Islam spread widely in Chechnya," Kadyrov said.

On his behalf, teachers and best students of spiritual universities received a monetary encouragement on the eve of the celebration of the Muslim holiday of Kurban-Bayram , which this year falls on November 16.

Kurban -Bayram is a festival of sacrifice, one of the main in the Muslim calendar. His celebration lasts not only directly on the day of Kurban-Bayram, but also over the next two days. These days, a Muslim should, if possible, sacrifice a ram, cow or other home cattle. Moreover, the animal needs to be killed, strictly observing certain rules and accompanied by prayers. The Muslim should give a third of the meat to the poor, a third - relatives and acquaintances, the last third remains in the family. It is desirable to eat meat of a sacrificial animal for three holidays.

The annual pilgrimage to Mecca - Hajj , who should perform every Muslim at least once in his life, is confined to Kurban -Bayram.
