“Artists of Russian Abroad. Marianna Verevkina. 1860--1938" . The name of the Russian-Swiss artist Marianne (Mariamne) Vladimirovna Verevkina, an associate of the world famous masters of the European avant-garde A. Jawlensky and V. Kandinsky, is well known in the West. Her unique style, which arose at the crossroads of Russian, German and French culture, combined the experience of symbolism, fauvism, expressionism, and cloisonnism.
