A criminal case may be filed against Elena Baturina’s brother and Inteko-Agro owner Viktor Baturin. Rosagroleasing appealed to law enforcement agencies with a request to investigate the actions of the management and founders of the Inteko-Agro company. In 2004–2005, leasing agreements for agricultural equipment and purchase and sale agreements for breeding animals were concluded between the companies in the amount of over 250 million rubles. Since 2007, Inteko-Agro has not fulfilled its obligations. As a result, the overdue debt to Rosagroleasing exceeded 223 million rubles, including fines and penalties.

Currently, Inteko-Agro is undergoing a bankruptcy procedure (according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, as of May 13 of this year, the company is in the process of liquidation). The arbitration court included Rosagroleasing's claims in the amount of 191,596,868 rubles in the third line of the register of creditors' claims. “According to the information provided by the bankruptcy trustee of Inteko-Agro, at the stages of monitoring and external management it was not possible to identify any liquid property,” the press release said. The location of property worth 284 million rubles, provided by Inteko-Agro as collateral to Rosagroleasing, has not been established, “since the management of Inteko-Agro prevented the search for property and did not provide documents.”

At the same time, during the bankruptcy arbitration case of Inteko-Agro, one of the individual entrepreneurs presented a promissory note for 260 million rubles issued by this company, Rosagroleasing draws attention. This bill of exchange was not taken into account in the financial statements of Inteko-Agro; there are no documents indicating in fulfillment of what obligation it was issued, “which gives reason to believe about the possible forgery of documents in order to create a fictitious debt.”

Viktor Baturin refused to comment on Rosagroleasing’s claims to Gazeta.Ru. A month ago, he claimed that he did not owe anything to Rosagroleasing. “For example, I know that the director of Rosagroleasing recently pressed me with a statement that I allegedly stole something. This is also a lie,” he said in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper. Meanwhile, according to a Gazeta.Ru source close to Baturin, “a week ago, Victor met with the company’s management, received all the documents and agreed with the claims.”

Rosagroleasing is not the businessman’s only problem. Over the past two years, the Federal Bailiff Service has been conducting consolidated enforcement proceedings to collect debt from Baturin in favor of VTB , LOCKO Bank, the ex-wife of the businessman Yana Rudkovskaya and one of his business partners. In addition, the list of those wishing to receive a debt from an entrepreneur includes Rosselkhozbank , Grant LLC, Park-Service LLC, and Veles Agroproduct LLC. The total amount of the businessman’s debts is estimated at $53 million.
