However, the investigation eventually recognized only three people as victims in the case: Semenov, Pavlushina and Balagurov. Kormushkin recently received from the investigator in charge of the case of the "pearl ensign" a definition in which he refuses to recognize him as a victim.

From Nevsky Prospekt, the beaten Kormushkin was taken directly to the police department, and from there by ambulance to the hospital, where doctors recorded soft tissue bruises and a head wound on him. Nevertheless, investigator Vadim Rud concluded: “There is no objective evidence that the actions of Boyko or other police officers caused Kormushkin physical, property or moral harm.”

The law enforcement agencies say with confidence that it will definitely not be possible to impute Boyko also with Kormushkin's broken head, since there is no video recording of a blow to his head with a truncheon.
