At the concert, Putin told details about his meeting with Russian intelligence officers when they sang the song "Where the Motherland begins."

“At this meeting, some of them told me a curious story. When they were arrested, their neighbors and friends said to them:“ We love you. We are friends with you. We do not know what is with the governments, but we will remain your friends, ”Putin said.

He noted that this made a strong impression on him. "This means that the relationship between people is deeper, stronger and more important than the relationship between the governments and, if the governments, in the broad sense of the word, more often listened to ordinary people, maybe we would better do our work," Putin said.
