"The senior officials, governors are ordered to form permanent coordination meetings to ensure the law enforcement in the territories of our country, constituent entities of the Russian Federation," Medvedev said.

According to him, “the main tasks of these coordination meetings will be not only the analysis of the current situation, but also the analysis of the activities of the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, other executive structures to ensure the law and order, the development of measures aimed at ensuring the law and order in the relevant entities of the Federation, interaction with various bodies in the field with civil society institutions, non -profit structures in terms of law enforcement.”

"The decisions of these coordination meetings will be drawn up by decisions of senior officials, that is, governors, and, if necessary, acts of the highest executive bodies of the subjects of our country," Medvedev said. "The proposals that relate to the improvement of regulatory regulation in the relevant field will be sent to the president of the country or my authorized representatives," Medvedev said.

The head of state emphasized that the decree is aimed at improving the coordination of the actions of the authorities in the localities and law enforcement agencies, while the document does not transfer liability for the fight against crime against law enforcement agencies. "The latest cases that occurred revealed a not -adequate reaction from individual leaders of the territories to the processes taking place in these territories," Medvedev said.

“Somewhere, the governors simply do not know what is happening. Somewhere they know, but they cannot take some more serious measures to combat crime, and they asked to create appropriate opportunities for coordinating this work, taking into account that the highest responsibility for the state of affairs in the region is carried by the highest official-the governor. I decided that this should be done,” the president noted.

He turned to the leaders of law enforcement agencies, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the director of the FSB, other law enforcement agencies present at the meeting that "it will be necessary to ensure the proper degree of coordination within the framework of this meeting, so that the governor says that he is not aware of what he does not have information." “In order for such information to be, and this coordination mechanism will work,” Medvedev emphasized.
