The scandal in Romania - the dictator Chausko and his wife were shot illegally

In Romania, a scandal broke out around the execution of the former dictator Nikolai Chausheyu and his wife Elena during the 1989 revolution. The Chairman of the Romanian Association of Revolutionaries Theodor Marish claims that they were shot illegally.

According to the Romanian agency "Mediafax", as proof, the former revolutionary presented the reporters with a copy of the decree signed by former President Jonah Ion Ion, according to which Chausko and his wife replaced the death penalty with life imprisonment. It follows from the document that Ilestu allegedly signed it on December 25, 1989 as the head of the front of the national salvation, which took power after the overthrow of the dictatorship.

Mariesh is confident in the authenticity of the document and intends to prove it through the examination. According to him, Ilescu softened the verdict that Chausko would order the security officers of the Securitate State Security Service to stop the resistance to revolutionaries in Bucharest, where unknown groups of "terrorists", whose belongs have not yet been established, had not been established in those days, ITAR-TASS reports.

Ilescu himself considers the submitted document as a fake. “It is worthless to say that on the day of the trial and execution of Chausko, I signed such a decree,” he told reporters. The former head of Romania emphasized that in December 1989 he signed a decree on the formation of the tribunal, which judged the dictator and his wife.

The couple who fled from Bucharest during the December events was arrested in a small town in Tyrgovishta, where they shot after a hasty court. On the same day, the shocking video of the dying spouses went around the television screens around the world.

The new authorities hastily buried the remains in the grave under other people's names, without any identification marks, and in different places. The hurry and mystery, accompanied by the execution and burial of a person who ruled Romania for almost a quarter century, gave rise to many speculation.
