Employees of the metropolitan riot police do not allow the manifestants to leave Pushkinskaya Square to arrange a procession along Tverskaya Street towards the Moscow City Hall.

As the correspondent of Interfax reports, police officers pushing the protesters deep into the area by force, preventing them from moving towards the city hall in Tverskaya. At the same time, the manifestants chant: "Shame!".

Part of the elderly protesters are trying to leave the square and demand from employees to release blocked participants in the rally.

Other protesters try to break out of the cordon. OMON employees rushed after them and are trying to block them next to the Fountain near the Pushkin cinema.

Earlier, several dozen riot police in body armor and helmets gathered at the entrance to Pushkinskaya Square, where the rally of the "Committee of the Five Requirements" was held. After the organizers announced the completion of the rally, some of them expressed the intention to move towards the city hall. In turn, police officers began to dismantle the framework of metal detectors in the square.

According to Interfax OMON, who did not regret to call himself, police officers are ready to prevent any provocations.

In turn, the head of the Left Front movement Sergei Udaltsov called on all the manifestants to move towards the city hall. “Information was received that they wanted to detain me, but I urge everyone to move towards the city hall,” Udaltsov said.

"For calls to conduct an unauthorized procession from Pushkinskaya to Tverskaya Square to the Udaltsov City Hall was detained by the police," a law enforcement source later said.

Currently, the police are trying to detain the most active participants in the action. Meanwhile, the demonstrators advanced towards the police department, in which Udaltsov was taken away. Another part of the protesters moves towards the city hall building.

The reason for the unrest that occurred on Manezhnaya Square on Saturday was corruption and inaction of law enforcement agencies, Boris Nemtsov said at a rally.

"What happened is not just a conflict, the reason is the corruption and inaction of law enforcement agencies. Fans rightly demanded to punish the murderers of their comrade, but the authorities showed weakness here," he said.

At the same time, he expressed concern that such actions of aggressive nationalists can lead to the collapse of the country. "We are a multinational country, and such incidents as yesterday create a threat to the unity of the Russian Federation. This is an interethnic conflict, it poses a threat to the collapse of the country," he said.

In anticipation of a rally on Pushkinskaya Square, a collection of signatures was organized for the resignation of the mayor of Khimki Vladimir Strelchenko, as well as in support of Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev.

“Dear Mr. President, and you, and I know well that the sentence of Khodorkovsky and Lebedev is a foregone conclusion. Both you, and I know well that only you can save these people,” the postcards say that the assembled is invited to enter their personal data and signature.
