Six suspects of the beating of a citizen of Uzbekistan were detained in Moscow

Six Muscovites were detained on suspicion of beating a visitor on December 11 at the Tretyakovskaya metro station, a source in the capital's law enforcement agencies told Interfax .

"On Saturday at 18:15, at the Tretyakovskaya metro station, a group of young people attacked not a 27 -year -old visitor from Uzbekistan, and he was severely beaten -as a result, a foreigner was hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury and a broken nose. According to the witnesses, the attackers cried out the slogans of the nationalist content," - The agency’s interlocutor told.

According to him, during the search, police officers established and detained six Muscovites - four men aged 24 to 28 years, and two women, 18 and 19 years old. All of them live in the southeast of the capital. Now the investigation establishes the degree of guilt of the detainees.

On the fact of beating, a criminal case has been instituted under the article "causing easy harm to health based on racial or national hatred."

The interlocutor of the agency emphasized that so far the charges have not been brought to anyone. Interfax does not yet have an official confirmation of this information.
