Investigators who released the fighting participants in which the fan of the Moscow Spartak Egor Sviridov died are not employees of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate. This was announced today by the head of the Moscow Central Internal Affairs Directorate, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, after a meeting with the President of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Sergey Fursenko, representatives of Moscow football clubs and veterans of the fans' movement.

"The investigator of the prosecutor is not my employee. My employees are police officers who detained, after these events, three participants in the fight. Two have already been arrested, another is delivered to Moscow from Dagestan. He will also be prosecuted by investigators of the prosecutor's office," Kolokoltsev said, answering the question of his employees who let go of the Draka participants, said ITTA TASS.

The head of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate also noted that during the Saturday of the action on the Manezhnaya Square "eight police officers were injured." “I myself witnessed one fact when a lit fire fell on our employee, burned a pea jacket and policeman received body burns,” he said.

Kolokoltsev noted that the police officers are associated with risk, but ordinary citizens could be susceptible to this risk. “I myself saw on television yesterday, how a man with two children goes, and stones and sticks fly in his direction. How can you react here?” He said, adding that he was surprised by the reaction of the opposition representatives who stated that the police acted too softly to the instigators of subbotnik unrest.

“We are sometimes reproached for excessive use of physical force in relation to the participants of some rallies, and today I was surprised to see that the organizers of various unauthorized shares held in the city center, on the contrary, focused on the fact that yesterday we acted too softly. I believe that the most adequate use of force was chosen yesterday,” Kolokoltsev said.

He noted that the police tried to minimize the consequences of the riots. “If even see how the police act in other European states, it will become clear that we minimized the possible consequences. Several people were in hospitals, but, given the scale of this event, we acted restrained and adequately,” the head of the capital's Central Internal Affairs Directorate emphasized.

Kolokoltsev promised that in the future the police would react hard to such promotions. We used the forces and means in accordance with applicable law, and we will apply such shares in relation to the instigators of such shares and even more tough," he said.
