Left Front activist Sergei Udaltsov was sentenced by a magistrate court to 15 days of arrest for disobedience to legal demands of the police. He was detained on December 12 after an authorized rally on Pushkin Square, when he announced that he would go to the mayor’s office and convey the demands of those gathered there. As an eyewitness who was at the court hearing reports in a commentary to a blog entry by human rights activist Anna Karetnikova, contrary to the testimony of fourteen defense witnesses and one policeman, who, according to her, accidentally let the cop know that Udaltsov at the time of his arrest was in the territory fenced off for the agreed rally and at a time when the agreement was still in effect, Magistrate Olga Borovkova considered that he was still outside the territory of the rally, where he was agitating 300 citizens to go to Tverskaya Square for an uncoordinated day of rage. At the same time, there is a video recording in which Udaltsov can be heard announcing that the procession was not allowed, therefore there will be no procession, and he himself will go to Tverskaya Square. The police told the court that they demanded to stop the illegal agitation, but Udaltsov instead fell onto the asphalt in order to create a commotion among the citizens. An eyewitness reports that the police, on the one hand, claimed that they heard Udaltsov’s illegal propaganda, and on the other, admitted that “you won’t hear anything in helmets.”

So far, in general, it turns out that left-wing radicals are the most dangerous. They call, they fall to the ground - horror. Not like nationalist darlings.

Udaltsov went on a hunger strike on December 12 and intends to continue it until December 27, when he is due to be released.
