| The Ruri region summed up the results of the European project-2010 The honorary title of the cultural capital of Europe, the role of which was given to the Ruri region of Germany by the end of this year, the Turkish Istanbul and the Hungarian stove, since 2011 crosses the Baltic duet-the Finnish Turk and Estonian Tallinn. In the Estonian capital, where the other day there was a ceremony of presenting awards of the European Film Academy, the first step towards this important event was already taken. However, the Germans are also in no hurry to part with a stormy cultural life, reigning in the main industrial region of Germany. “The most important result was the significant public recognition of our role as the cultural capital of Europe,” said Fritz Plaitgen, the head of the company, organizer Ruhr 2010. “With the help of strong, fresh images, we managed to change the fairly dilapidated image of the Ruky region as a provincial industrial region.”
The organizers have something to be proud of: 10.5 million people took part in 5500 events, the total budget of which amounted to 61.5 million euros. In addition, during the year, structural investments in the framework of the year of the cultural capital in the Ruky region reached 500 million euros. “In the coming year, we intend to maintain the achieved level in the field of culture in its most diverse manifestations,” Mr. Plaitgen said at a final press conference. To date, in cooperation with the museums of the region, 30 joint projects have been planned for the coming year.
One of the most iconic events in the framework of the cultural capital of Europe-2010 was the presentation of the exhibition of the picturesque paintings of French artists “Pictures of the same metropolis-impressionists in Paris” in the world famous Museum “Folkwang” in Essen. A review of the unique creations of French masters in the center of the Ruky region is held under the patronage of the Federal Chancellor of Germany Angels Merkel and President of France Nicolas Sarkozy. To date, with the exhibition, the organization of which has been possible thanks to the long -term cooperation of Folkwang with the largest German gas company E.on Ruhrgas, more than 100 thousand visitors got acquainted. Summing up the intermediate results, the head of the gas company Klaus Schaefer at a meeting with media representatives within the walls of the museum noted: “We are proud that we managed to collect a very impressive collection of works of art - 80 paintings and 120 photographs, in an artistic form of the emergence of Paris between 1860 and 1900 as French metropolis.” Mr. Schaefer promised and henceforth to maintain the commitment of the enterprise to sponsorship in the field of culture.
This is the second unique exhibition in the past year, the sponsor of which was E.on ruhrgas. At the beginning of last summer, the exposition was opened in Folkwang, reconstructing a rare part of the pre-war collection of the French and German avant-garde painting, collected in this museum in the pre-war period, which was before the sale of masterpieces by the National Socialists in 1937.
Speaking about the causes that encourage natural gas importers and sellers to actively stimulate cultural life in the region, the representative of E.on Ruhrgas on the press relations Adrian Shaffrans remarked: “First of all, it is important for us to contribute to a versatile cultural landscape in our native region. And here the Folkwang museum belongs to a universally recognized leading role. In addition, being an art museum with a significant collection, it also has high authority beyond the boundaries of Germany. This meets the spirit of our international exhibition projects, which we implemented against the background of our gas business. ” Yuri Shpakov, Berlin | | The cultural correction of the image of the Ruky region summed up the results of the European project-2010 of the cultural capital of Europe, the role of which was given to the Ruri region of Germany, the Turkish Istanbul and the Hungarian Pechu, has been crossed by the Baltic duet-the Finnish Turk and Estonian Tallinn ... >> >> >> >> >> Poster concerts, theaters, exhibitions, cinema ... >> Weather and health in the north and north-west of the European territory of Russia are expected to weather with frosts.
