In Altai, the kidnappers chained the hacker to the battery and forced to break off sites

In the Altai Territory, the police freed from the imprisonment of a programmer, whom the bandits turned into a "none hacker". The man was beaten, chained to the battery and forced to break the Internet sites of banks.

Altai police detained suspects in the abduction of a Barnaul programmer, the official website of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Altai Territory reports. Criminals face up to 15 years in prison.

According to the investigation, the kidnapping of a programmer was organized by a repeatedly convicted resident of the Pankrushikhinsky district. Earlier, a 42-year-old recidivist was serving a sentence with a programmer from Barnaul, who at that time was convicted of fraud in the field of high technology.

"Freed in 2010, the suspect recalled the long-standing friend-computer and decided to take advantage of the guy’s knowledge for his selfish purposes," the press service of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate explained.

The psychology of the criminal prompted a man only one thing: to kidnap an old friend to make him rob banks. Taking two accomplices with him, the suspect went by car to Barnaul and, under the pretext of computer repair, lured the programmer out of the house. Then the man was kidnapped.

The criminals brought the prisoner to one of the villages of the Pankeshikhinsky district, where they imprisoned in the house, chained the computer as handcuffs to the battery. Then they presented the victim to their curious plan: he was supposed to hack banks' sites and transfer money to various accounts. “The guy refused to do this, after which he was beaten,” they added in the police. “In addition, the suspects called the guy’s friend and began to demand a ransom in the amount of one and a half million rubles for him.”

On December 13, after a heavy booze, the kidnappers fell asleep, and the laid hacker managed to unfasten the handcuffs from the battery and escape. By evening, he got to the police department and requested help.

Immediately, criminal investigators who detained the organizer of the abduction went to the village. And in the morning another detention was made, with the participation of riot police fighters. During a search in those houses where they kept the stolen, two units of weapons were found.

A criminal case was opened under Article 126 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (human abduction). It is also planned to initiate another case under Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal storage of weapons).
