The presidential candidate Vladimir Neklyaev said that the action planned in Minsk on the election day will be peaceful, and its main goals will be the non -recognition of the results of the elections in Belarus, as well as the requirement of new elections without the participation of Alexander Lukashenko.
“Not to recognize these elections and consider them falsification is the first requirement that we are going to nominate tomorrow,” Neklyaev said on Saturday at a joint press conference with presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov in Minsk.
“The second requirement is new elections without Lukashenko,” the candidate said.
Neklyaev again emphasized that the planned action is "this is a peaceful protest." According to him, if the authorities are numbing Oktyabrskaya Square in Minsk, "we will not throw people at armored personnel carriers, we are not crazy." At the same time, he said, the opposition will regard these actions to the "power confrontation between the will of the people."
In turn, Sannikov, answering the question of how long the opposition intends to hold its action on Oktyabrskaya Square, said that this would be decided directly on the spot.
Neklyaev noted that opposition candidates for the president have developed a general plan of action in the square. He also said that the candidates have prepared a statement that they intend to transfer to international organizations and observers, which will give examples of violations and falsifications, in their opinion, during the presidential election.
Neklyaev informed about plans to keep a parallel counting of votes in the elections. In continuation of this topic, Sannikov announced the data of the ratings of candidates that he had, according to which Lukashenko has 34%, and all alternative candidates - 37%.
