Indian spaceship exploded at the start

The Indian spacecraft with GSAT-5P communications satellite exploded during launch. On the television shots it was evident how the rocket disappeared in a thick cloud of smoke 47 seconds after the start from the cosmodrome on the island of Sricharikot, 100 kilometers north of the city of Madras, Andra Pradesh.

The chairman of the Indian space research organization told the AP agency that the rocket flew at an incorrect angle, but the causes of the accident have yet to be studied. In April, a similar rocket sank in Bengal Gulf.
