Some details of the prosecution of the former GRU Colonel Vladimir Kvachkov appeared in an attempt to organize the rebellion.
According to Kommersant today, the prosecution is based on the testimony of one of the members of the so -called "People's Militia named after Minin and Pozharsky." Kvachkov himself is the "chief of staff" of the organization.
Indications against the former colonel were given by the leader of the Togliatti branch Peter Galkin during the detention this summer. He allegedly told the FSB how the militia was created.
According to him, in some cities of Russia, on the instructions of Kvachkov, members of the organization formed combat groups from young people who were reduced as a result of the reform of the armed forces. At the signal of the “militia” headquarters, they had to capture and disarm the local military units, then to go to Moscow, "joining more and more detachments of the rebels."
For this, according to the FSB, in the spring-summer of this year, Vladimir Kvachkov (then he was a defendant in the assassination of anatoly Chubais), who was under the subscription about the lack of departure) visited Kostroma, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Tula and Ryazan, where, meeting with the military, he conducted anti-government propaganda among them.
According to investigators, the “folk squads” planned the rebellion from Vladimir, where the Galkin group was operating, but there he was detained there.
Vladimir Kvachkov himself claims that there was no conspiracy. According to him, the guys, led by Galkin, simply went to the forest to practice in shooting from the crossbow, which was acquired by them on a completely legal basis, but they were detained. Then, says Colonel Kvachkov, the same Galkin visited the Congress of the militias in Syzran, on which he secretly made audio recordings, which was received by the FSB.
The lawyers of Colonel Kvachkov, in turn, argue that all trips of their principal were allowed by the court and representatives of the investigation. “These were the usual meetings of war veterans, and not the preparation of some mythical conspiracy,” says Oksana Mikhalkina, lawyer Oksana. According to her, Galkin was not transferred from witnesses to the category of accused, and, apparently, in gratitude for this, he tells stories about Colonel Kvachkov one worse than the other. The lawyer did not discuss the details of the case, referring to the secrecy of his materials.
Recall that the FSB arrested Kvachkov the day before yesterday. According to his lawyers, while gross procedural disorders were committed. The defense of the former colonel GRU intends to appeal the arrest in the near future. Kvachkova could be detained because of the recent mass riots in Moscow, although he personally did not participate in them, suggested Oksana Mikhalkina.
