The final composition of the Russian youth team was announced to participate in the World Cup

The coaching staff of the Russian youth team has decided on the final application for the World Cup, the official website of the Russian Hockey Federation reports.

The youth world championship will be held in the United States from December 26 to January 5. The final composition of Russians included three goalkeepers, nine defenders and 13 attackers.

Defender Mikhail Grigoryev, attacking Stanislav Galiev and Vladislav Vicemnikov will not take part in the tournament. The corresponding decision was made following the results of the training camp and the control match from the youth team of Slovakia, which ended with the victory of the Russian team with a score of 6: 2.

Goalkeepers : Emil Garipov, Dmitry Shikin and Igor Bobkov;

Defenders : Nikita Zaitsev, Nikita Pivtsakin, Maxim Berezin, George Berdyukov, Dmitry Orlov, Yuri Urychev, Maxim Ignatovich, Andrey Sergeev and Andrey Pedan;

Forwards : Semyon Valuysky, Vladimir Tarasenko, Maxim Kitsyn, Daniil Sobchenko, Artem Voronin, Nikita Dvurechensky, Stanislav Bocharov, Sergey Kalinin, Nail Yakupov, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Artemy Panarin, Denis Golubev and Anton Burdasov.

The Russian team will begin the World Cup with a match against peers from Canada on December 26. The previous world championship among youth teams was won by Americans. The Russians then were left without medals, stumbled at the 1/4 finals.
