
Audi automotive company - a subsidiary of the German concern Volkswagen - has developed a large -scale investment program and creating new jobs.
According to DW-World , from 2011 to 2015, investments for a total of 11.6 billion euros will be aimed at expanding production. The previous plans provided for investments in the production of new products in the amount of about 2 billion euros per year.
Only during the next year it is supposed to create 1200 new jobs, most of them are intended for graduates of higher educational institutions.
“This is the largest investment program in the history of the company,” said Audi representative. He added that the main goal of a five -year program is to create new car models, including electric drive and hybrid engines.
In 2011, Audi plans to present a new version of the Q5 SUV with a hybrid drive. By the end of 2012, it is supposed to develop an electric version of the R8 E-Tron sports car.
More than 5 billion euros will be invested in the development of production capacities in Germany, primarily enterprises in Ingolstadt and Neckarsus.
The expansion of production within the country will positively affect the development of foreign markets, primarily in China, explained the financial director of the company Axel Strotbek. According to him, Audi set a goal to overtake the main competitors - BMW and Daimler - and become a leading manufacturer of cars in the premium segment. In addition, the company plans to increase the production of machines to one and a half million per year.
