In Belarus, two Russian citizens arrested

Two Russians who were detained in the case of riots in Minsk on the day of the presidential election on December 19, were detained, - Radio Liberty correspondent Vitaly Tsygankov reports.

“They are arrested, a preventive measure in the form of detention was applied to them. Representatives of the Russian diplomatic mission in Minsk were informed about this,” Interfax -West, on Tuesday, told the Law enforcement agencies of Belarus. At the same time, the source noted that "the prosecution for the Russians has not yet been brought." The Belarusian side maintains constant contact with the Russian diplomatic mission on this issue within the framework of competence, ”the agency’s interlocutor said.

On December 29, all 11 Russians arrested for participating in protest in Minsk on the day of the presidential election on December 19 were released. However, on the same day, two Russian citizens were detained again. According to human rights activists, the names of Russian citizens in the pre -trial detention center are Artem Breus and Ivan Gaponov.

On Tuesday, a press conference of the former presidential candidate Vitaly Rymashevsky, who was released on the lower part of January 1, was supposed to take place on Tuesday. However, the KGB warned that it would consider this as a disclosure of the mystery of the investigation, and in this case, Rymashevsky would be arrested again. After that, representatives of Rymashevsky reported that he was forced to cancel the press conference.
