He added that "such work will require an investment of tens of billions of dollars and attracting advanced technologies."

The prime minister assured that the Government of the Russian Federation will create a favorable tax regime for the joint development of the Russian Arctic shelf by the companies of VR and Rosneft. "The government intends to create the most favorable tax regime for this project," Putin said.

The head of government noted that serious agreements on joint work in the framework of the shelf projects in the Russian Federation and third countries have been reached between the BP and Rosneft.
