Two forwards left the CSKA hockey club at once. Alexey Badyukov moved to Kazan Ak Bars, and Vyacheslav Kozlov the day before broke his contract with the capital team and joined Ufa Salavat Yulaev.

Retaining only theoretical chances of reaching the playoffs following the results of the regular season, the Moscow club seems to have already begun to build a team with an eye to the next season. In exchange for Badyukov, the Army team will receive the right to select in the fourth round of the 2011 junior draft.

Alexey Badyukov signed a contract with CSKA on the eve of the current season, having transferred from Ak Bars, with whom he twice won the Gagarin Cup. The 32-year-old forward played 48 matches for the army team, scoring ten goals and assisting his partners 17 times.

Vyacheslav Kozlov returned from the National Hockey League to Russia in September 2010, signing a contract with CSKA. In 40 matches, he scored 12 goals and recorded 13 assists.
