Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko was once again questioned about his poisoning

Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko on Tuesday was once again questioned as a victim in the case of his poisoning. The interrogation was held in the Main Investigation Department for the investigation of especially important cases of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports.

The interrogation lasted more than five hours, UNIAN reports.

In early September 2004, during the presidential campaign, presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko felt a deterioration in health and was taken to Austria, where in one of the private clinics they said that he was poisoned by dioxin. According to investigators, Yushchenko was poisoned on September 5, 2004 at the cottage of the First Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vladimir Satsyuk. From June 2008 until the change of power in 2010, the Prosecutor General’s Office has repeatedly noted that the fact of the deliberate poisoning of Yushchenko has been fully proven.

In early 2010, Viktor Yanukovych became the President of Ukraine. After the presidential election, both the prosecutor’s leadership and the investigative group that investigated the case of Yushchenko’s poisoning were replaced. The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Pshonka, who took his post in November 2010, admitted that perhaps there was no poisoning of the ex-president Yushchenko.

Last time, having arrived for interrogation to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Yushchenko entered into a skirmish with fellow citizens who were waiting for him there, who called the former president Pascuda and Bezbatchenko.
