Google accuses Microsoft of using the search results at the request of its users to configure the Bing search engine, 4pda.ru reports with reference to Slashgear .
In December 2010, Google experts, as it turned out, installed a special virtual trap, which competitors fell into when Bing began to issue identical results in response to senseless requests.
For the first time in Google, they noticed the similarity of the search results when they received the results for requests with the spelling check (Google has a typo correction system), which then in a strange way began to be repeated in the results of the Bing search.
To check more and more carefully, they wrote a special code in Google, which allowed manually rank the pages in the issuance at a certain request.
The next step was to hold about 100 “synthetic searches” according to pre -invented requests, according to which before that there was nothing using Google or Bing.
The issuance of results from these requests was built manually, since in natural conditions they were built randomly. At the end of the “special operation”, 20 employees of the company sent them to make Google requests from their home computers, using Internet Explorer with the installed Bing toolbar. After two weeks, exactly the same links and, according to the same requests, began to appear in Bing.
Microsoft denies any violations, claiming that the company uses special "signals" to rank the search results, the mechanism of which it is not going to disclose. Moreover, employees of the software giant say that Google is trying to intentionally confuse them and manipulate some of these "signals".
