This morning, when we came to the square there was a fight between Mubarak's supporters and protesters. The fight is serious. At some point, we were surrounded by argessive people with sticks and stones. Nearby, the English journalists were surrounded in the same way, one of them fell. Young people were looking primarily by Americans, but, as it became clear later, the hunt is generally for journalists. Thank God we left cameras in the hotel. We were surrounded by some kind people and helped to get out of the square.

All cafes and restaurants, the doors of the offices were closed immediately. “Go away from the street, hide,” those who helped to carry their legs from the square explained to us quite accessibly. The ability to run quickly once again helped. Thank God, in one of the hotels, the door was opened: there, in addition to us, several more foreigners oxed, including an American - a tourist who entered Cairo these days.

We cannot return to our hotel yet. One plus: in our shelter, the Internet is functioning in some incomprehensible way.

How events will develop - now it is impossible to predict.

It is possible that the massacre of supporters and opponents of Mubarak special services and the military can use to stop a protest that is already going on in Egypt for 9 days. A colleague said: a similar situation is now in Alexandria, although yesterday we were there and no supporters of Mubarak, in any case, there were not there in mass quantities there.
