Rosneft could receive more than $1 billion through the sale of non-core assets, company president Eduard Khudainatov said during a telephone conference for investors.

According to him, currently, in particular, an assessment of service assets is being carried out. “We are now conducting a large-scale audit of each enterprise to assess its economic efficiency and its need to ensure the business process in the company. These are significant property complexes and service companies,” Interfax quotes Khudainatov .

The head of the company clarified that Rosneft plans to complete this work in March. “The preliminary assessment and the work that has begun show that the sale of non-core assets is already capable of bringing the company $1 billion,” he added.

During the conference, Khudainatov also said that Rosneft is not interested in the AAR consortium's stake in TNK-BP. “We don’t care about it or seek interest. We don’t have such a task,” he assured.

At the same time, according to the head of the company, Rosneft does not have any information about BP’s dialogue with the (Russian) shareholders of TNK-BP.”

According to media reports, the AAR consortium may sell its stake in TNK-BP to Rosneft or the state. However, earlier a source in the AAR leadership denied this information, calling it “pure bluff.”

BP and Rosneft previously announced the creation of a global strategic alliance. However, AAR stated that it sees violations of the TNK-BP shareholder agreement in BP’s deal with Rosneft and intends to defend its rights.

As a result, the High Court of London on February 1 granted AAR's request, deciding to postpone the swap of shares of BP and Rosneft until February 25 or until the Stockholm arbitration decision comes into force. AAR and BP have initiated an accelerated arbitration procedure in Stockholm, the first hearing there will take place in mid-February.
