The German company Opel is preparing for production a completely new model - a compact urban crossover, comparable in size to models such as Ford Kuga and Volkswagen Tiguan. This is evidenced by the first “spy” pictures of a camouflaged SUV, which the British publication Auto Express publishes on its page.
According to unconfirmed reports, the Opel crossover is built on the platform of the new Astra, and in appearance the new product will most likely be similar to the stylish dynamic concept Agile Cross Sport, presented in November last year. The same high-quality materials as those used in the Astra and Insignia models are used in the interior decoration of the car.
The new compact Opel SUV will be equipped with petrol and diesel engines, front-wheel drive as standard and all-wheel drive as an option. Its debut on the market is expected in 2012.
