For the inhabitants of Washington and neighboring States, Maryland and Virginia, the icy rain was a surprise: in recent days the weather was quite warm, at the end of last week the air temperature reached 23 degrees of heat. Now the temperature varies around the mark to zero degrees.

Meanwhile, winter came again to the northwestern states of the United States. Snowfall led to the abolition of hundreds of flights in Minneapolis (Minnesota) and Detroit (Michigan). The bad weather also covered the Visconsin state.
