The American Corporation of Motorola Mobility, or rather its recently created Motorola Mobility cell phones unit, wants to return to European markets in the wake of the success of its Android Smartphones in the United States, Cybersecurity.ru reports.
The head of the company Sanja Jia announced that after stabilizing the financial situation and the market situation in the United States, the next step for Motorola will be a return to European markets and concluding agreements with local operators, and then with retail sellers.
Most likely, the company for starters will present to the court of European users ATRIX smartphone and the Xoom tablet announced the other day. These products are popular in the USA and may interest Europeans.
This can especially be relevant in the light of the emergence of new high -speed LTE format networks in Europe and reducing prices for data transfer in cellular networks.
Just five years ago, the share of Motorola in the European market was more than 16% and here the manufacturer was second only to Nokia, but last year the share of Motorola was reduced to 0.7%. This reflects the overall instability within the manufacturer, concentration in the American market and the lack of new successful mobile phone models.
Sanja Jah says that a year and a half ago, Motorola relied on Android and did not lose. According to him, now the company's position has recovered in the USA, Latin America, China and Southeast Asia. At the same time, Europe and the CIS countries are still a white spot for the company.
