The failure of the soil

On March 8, a tree fell on the redzarmen and damaged the pipe. At the same time, the soil fell down 12 meters down. Where did the empty space underground come from? Masha Fedorenko talks with eyewitnesses of events and listens to their versions.

The construction of an office building with an underground parking lot in the courtyard of a four-story residential building of 12-4 on Krasnokazarmennaya Street began in April 2010, and now they still have not begun to build the aboveground part of the building. And on March 8, at 20-00, at a fenced construction site several meters near the house, the earth failed, forming a hole. The depth of the pit, as an employee of the Ministry of Emergencies said, whom I met at the scene of the next day, amounted to 12 meters.

But by the time of our meeting, she was almost completely falling asleep. What happens, and how could this turn out?

The pipe broke through, we are engaged in repair work, this is what is happening, ”one of the leaders of the construction team said patiently and refused further comments.
At that moment, another KamAZ with gravel drove up.
- They bring two KamAZ per hour from two in the morning. So count. And they say-5-7 meters. They say that just the tree fell and broke through the pipe, ”said a representative man named Valery Smirnov, who lives in this house and saw everything. I read about the underground river, which flows in this place, and that the builders of the new building built a concrete wall with a depth of 30 meters depth, the river overwhelmed - at first the river was washed, it was impossible to build, and they built there down with point development, blocked the river, the river has nowhere to go.

- Know the water flowed ... The first failure went, they scooped up the soil from the middle of the building. It was imperceptible. Then three trees failed, - the grandfather in ridiculous glasses, who also lives in this house, joined the conversation. His name is Dmitry Mikhaltsov, and he worked for 40 years, so he speaks reasonably and with knowledge of the matter. He said that he immediately called the Ministry of Emergencies, but they answered rudely and hung up, but then called back and thanked.
- Diggers came at night, and they confirmed about the river. All books about Lefortovo are written about her. And here is such a horror, they want to build 28 floors up.

“Tell us how it was, in order,” I asked him as the main eyewitness.
- I personally saw everything with my own eyes. And how yesterday the tree fell, and today one more - exactly at 12 o’clock, 500 centimeters in diameter, linden. The Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived quickly, turned the lighting and headquarters, officials immediately came running, sign up that they were sober and active. The Ministry of Emergencies realized that heating should be cut off, and this is 3-4 houses.
- They chopped off the heating, put on each floor of our house a heat gun, then threw a temporary aid, at 7 a.m. the batteries were warm again. There was 200 people, probably, ”Smirnov added.
We had to move away from the road so that an excavator would drive up to Kamaz with soil.
- Officials performed their duties in an incredible way if they reacted in January, this would not have happened. That is, you need to plant, ”Mikhaltsov said sternly. -And Biryukov and his chief Sobyanin were still framed.
- What are you talking about?
- Biryukov was here at 2 o’clock. He was told that the heating main simply burst. In fact, there is another problem. And they said Sobyanin, and he repeated like a parrot. I feel sorry for him humanly. And nothing more. Yes, everything can be for money. - said Mikhaltsov.
- And what was the mistake of the builders, in - yours?
- Here, apparently, the project for hydrogeology was not done or made haply.

- The more wells than the project is more precise. But each well costs money, it is expensive, everyone minimizes expenses. They did just geology with me, looked soil. And they began construction safely, they did not ask for it from them. Although, in principle, a normal specialist who gives permission to the state architectural tenter does this only after an exhaustive project. There, the loads that the soil will experience, the condition of the soil, progress and so on should be indicated. But this, in my opinion, was not done. The project was signed, each signature has a beneficiary, as they say. And they naturally look that it is cheaper. And this is what happened.
- Did the house have problems?
- We cut off the water supply, there was no water for a day. So they saw a drowned out pipe. What had to be done? It was necessary to tear the pipe further along the way and see where it is going. They didn’t do this, because the ditch is digging - money and time. They thought she was abandoned. There is a pie, everyone wants to bite away from it, it is natural. But people are destroyed by the second vice - this is greed.
