iPad 2 is equipped with the same 9.7-inch touchscreen display as the first generation of the tablet. However, the new model is a third thinner than the first iPad and weighs 15 percent less. Apple uses its own dual-core A5 processor in the new version of the tablet, which, according to the company, provides increased performance of the device.

6 iPad configurations will continue to be offered for sale, depending on the presence or absence of a 3G cellular module and the amount of built-in memory (16, 32 and 64 gigabytes). At the same time, the cost of an iPad in the US starts at $499 (for a model without a 3G module with 16 gigabytes of memory). The most expensive model (3G+WiFi with 64 gigabytes) will cost customers $829.

In Europe, iPad 2 will go on sale on March 25. The date of appearance of the second Apple tablet in Russia has not yet been announced.
