Rosatom is dissatisfied with incoming information about the Japanese nuclear power plant

Experts from the Rosatom operational headquarters considered the information on the situation at the Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant in Japan, received, in particular, through the international channel of the IAEA Situation and Crisis Center, to be extremely insufficient and irregular.

As Polit.ru already wrote, on the morning of March 14 at Fukushima-1, hydrogen exploded while the reactor was cooling; the reactor itself was not damaged, but 11 people were injured. Hydrogen exploded at a nuclear power plant damaged by the devastating earthquake in Japan on March 12. Since then, the radiation level near the station has changed several times.

Today, Secretary General of the Japanese government Yukio Edano said that the risk of increased background radiation in the area of ​​the nuclear power plant is small. However, the American fleet still withdrew its ships participating in the humanitarian operation in connection with the earthquake in Japan from the coast of the country.
