Gazprom has sold its subsidiary Gazprom Burenie, the concern says in a press release. According to the message, as of March 11, the company withdrew from the authorized capital of the LLC, where it owned 100%.

In December 2010, it became known that Gazprom plans to sell Gazprom Burenie, which carries out more than 70% of drilling work for the monopoly, in the first and second quarters of 2011. The initial price was set at 4 billion rubles, recalls RIA Novosti .

As Gazprom clarified, the purchase and sale agreement was signed on March 11, 2011, after which 100% of the authorized capital of Gazprom Burenie LLC was transferred to the buyer. The transaction amount was 4.05 billion rubles. The asset was sold at auction, the protocol on the results of which was signed on January 27, 2011.

The company has announced a request for quotations for the provision of services for the sale of the asset. The book value of the object amounted to 2.073 billion rubles. The maximum remuneration amount was set at 0.15% of the sales value, excluding costs for information support. Applications were accepted until December 21.

Previously, the media reported that this asset could be acquired by the structure of entrepreneur Arkady Rotenberg, who already owns a major Gazprom contractor, Stroygazmontazh.

Rotenberg has been working with Gazprom for several years. Stroygazmontazh was created on the basis of the merger of five construction assets purchased from Gazprom in 2008. Today it is one of the main contractors of the monopoly for the construction of large gas pipelines. In addition, Rotenberg’s structures supply pipes to Gazprom.

Gazprom Burenie LLC was created in 1997 as a division of the monopoly for the construction, repair and restoration of gas, condensate and oil wells in fields, as well as underground storage facilities. The company serves more than 70% of Gazprom's needs. In 2009, Gazprom Burenie LLC's revenue from operating activities increased by 18%, to $1.3 billion, but the company received a net loss of $62 million against a profit of $1.5 million in 2008.
