The Serbian priests again commit worship in Primes

In large cities of Kosovo - Primetin and Pushy - Orthodox worships began to be performed again. This was told by the bishop of Rashko-Grazrensky Theodosius in an interview with the Serbian newspaper Diary.

“Over the past few months, parish life has been resumed in the primevation, prison and source where new, young priests serve. The restoration of shrines in Kosovo and Metohiya is not only the reconstruction of the destroyed buildings, but, first of all, the resumption of liturgical life, and therefore it is especially important to intensify the work on all parishes in the diocese,” said Bishop of Theodosius. In Kosovo, the process of restoration of Serbian temples, destroyed during pogroms by Kosovo Albanians, is gradually going on. “Our task is all the churches destroyed or injured since 1999, to restore and resume worship in them. He emphasized that for the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Kosovo has always been and will be an integral part of Serbia. At the same time, the bishop noted, the church cannot but go to certain contacts with the local Albanian community, taking into account the realities that have developed in this region.

Answering the question of the attitude of the Kosovo Albanians to Serbian priests and monks, Bishop Feodosius said that the safety of the Serbian population, clergy and monasticism is in different ways in different areas of Kosovo. "The conditions for their free movement (outside the territory of the church or monastery) in general have become much larger, however, in some areas of Kosovo, the appearance of clergy on the streets is still dangerous for them, especially in the destinations, the devil, Srbititsa. In all our contacts with international representatives, we emphasize that freedom of movement and ensuring security is the necessary conditions for the normal life of our people and the church, and we believe that the situation will gradually be here.
